Wow cool stuff! I love Mappr. I can see applications of it with future digital scrapbooks of our family vacations. I also liked Mosaic Maker - future Christmas gifts in the making. I also enjoyed playing with the Trading Card Maker, but I doubt I'd ever really use it. I'd love to know how others use the trading cards....

Thing #5: Explore Flickr
I'm pretty familiar with Flickr because my sister uses it to share pics of her little boy (I've downloaded hundreds of pics of him in his short life), so I already knew about tagging and groups. One thing I wasn't really aware of was the Creative Commons Site. In Broadcasting, we are always looking for new pictures to use for our graphics. We've pretty much exhausted Yahoo and Google images, but now we can also use copyright-friendly images from Flickr like this one of the grizzly bear chillin'. Since we are the Bears, it will come in handy.

Thing #3: Set Up a Blog...and Make an Avatar
My blog is created with an avitar! It was easy, and creating the avitar was the most fun part (although I had to post it three times before the actual picture appeared on my blog). I'm a little disappointed with the template choices for the blogs - kind of dull....
I did look at a few other blogs for inspiration before proceeding, but no I haven't made a comment yet. When I decide where the appropriate place for it is, my first comment will be, "With all these "Things" where is The Cat in the Hat?" Already heard that one? Heh, heh...

Thing #2: Pointers from Life Long Learners
Probably habits 3 and 6 are the easiest for me, and I believe they go together. I believe technology is but a tool to help me accomplish what I want. When technology poses a problem, my attitude is, "Technology does what I want, not has me do what it wants." In other words problems with technology challenge me to make it work for me not against me.
If I have to pick a hardest habit, I guess nubmer 2 would be it. I sometimes to tend to procrastinate and do anything else but what I "should" be doing, so when it comes to "homework" I sometimes have to make myself be more responsible for my learning.
